A supermarket in New Zealand was automatically opened by a computer over the Easter holiday according to http://www.stuff.co.nz/waikato-times/news/4924352/Pak-n-Save-owner-sees-a-good-side.
About half of the shoppers who entered the store while all of the staff were on holiday, paid for their groceries using the self service checkouts.
